The History.....
The Destiny Talk Radio network was began in early 2006, when Internet Wrestling VJ, Lee Tyers decided to branch into the realms of online radio. He approached colleague Stuart Claw, who at the time was working on another internet station, who agreed to come on board with him hosting and producing various projects.
May 2006 saw the team broadcast live as part of The Expo Radio Project, one of the projects Stuart had brought over with him, the event was a huge success as fans and newbies alike were treated to a range of entertaining interviews and shows. One of these shows that made it's debut that weekend was the Anime & Anime show, which went on to become a DTRN regular.
After the event the team began to work on the next event and various projects such as The Squared Circle radio show and Anime show. Then in September, Lee decided to focus more soley on The Squared Circle and together with his brother (the executive producer of Expo Radio) Gareth, Stuart relaunched DTRN.
The Future.....
With the return of Expo Radio set for May 26th & 27th May 2007, The Anime Show continuing to grow and the return of Stuart with a new Sci Fi & Cult TV show, The Sci Fi Guys, the future of DTRN is set to be a long and bright one.
STUART CLAW
DTRN President Of Operations, Presenter (Anime/Anime , Expo Radio, The Sci Fi Guys), Expo Radio Producer & T4 Sci Fi Guy
Stuart began his radio career at University, when he was tutored by a former BBC Radio 4 producer, Piers Plowright. But Stuarts love for presenting began several years earlier when he started DJing and quickly became known for his mix of great music and lively audience interaction.
So when the opportunity to combine the two as part of online radio station, Great Web Radio, Stuart took it. At Great Web Radio, under the helm of Geoff Carter, Stuart quickly established his own unique brand of Entertainment News, Reviews and music to become one of the stations best loved presenters. As time went by Stuart also established as part of Great Web Radio, Expo Radio Live, in conjunction with the London MCM Expo. This project aimed to bring the London Expo Live to those people who couldnt make it and so far continues to do just that.
Moving on from that and as Great Web Radio became Area 51 Radio Station, Stuarts show continue to grow, adding a list of celebrity guest interviews to his already succesful format. Then later on that year TV came calling when Stuart was selected by Channel 4 magazine show T4, to be their SCI FI Guy, a chance which he relished and held onto for 5 weeks straight. During this time Stuart also interviewed Stargate's SG1's Amanda Tapping continuing his run of top interviews.
Soon after that Stuart was approached by former internet video presenter, Lee Tyers and together they began work on an Internet wrestling radio show. Shortly after this Stuart left the flagging Area 51 and moved to the newly created Destiny Talk Radio Network (DTRN), where together with Lee Tyers he continued the Expo Radio tradition and also launced The UK's first Anime Radio Show, Anime!.
As time went by and both Lee and Stuart became incredibly busy on their respective shows, it was decided that DTRN would continue under the leadership of Stuart.
So continue it has and with new shows from Stuart in the pipeline and the contuning growth of Expo Radio and Anime, Stuarts presenting career is certainly not over by a long way.
